Find the help that fits where you are.

A free, independent guide for people in the US living with depression. It will help you work out what kind of care fits your situation right now, and where to find it, including free and low-cost options.

We're building it now.

Why we're building this

We're the team behind Thinkable, a mental health app. We kept seeing how hard it is to find the right help for depression. Most directories are paid for by the providers they list, many listed clinicians aren't taking new clients, and there's little guidance on what kind of care fits you. So we're building the guide we wish existed, as a free public service.

Care for depression comes in steps

  1. Self-help and support
  2. Talk therapy
  3. Therapy and medication
  4. Specialist treatment

The guide will help you find your step, and show when it may be time to move up one. It won't diagnose you. It points to options, with the reasons in plain view.

If you're in crisis, you don't need to find a step first. Call or text 988.

What you can count on

Free to use
You'll never pay to use the guide.
No paid rankings
No one can pay to be listed or to appear higher. If we take sponsors in the future, they'll be named publicly and won't affect what we show.
Open criteria
We'll publish how every option is chosen and ordered, and log every change.
Clear about who we are
Depression Guide is run by the Thinkable team at GGTUDE as a free public service. It isn't a registered nonprofit, and we don't profit from it: any income goes back into running the guide. If our own products appear, they're held to the same criteria and clearly marked.
Honest about data
This page sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes your IP address to deliver it.
